The launch of Petite Noir’s visual album took place in a vibrant creative space at Art on Keyes in Rosebank last week. Surrounded by art deco pieces and functional art, the cool kids came out to play and support Petite Noir and his Noirwave movement at the launch.
The album artwork hung on walls, telling a beautiful story through the four elements of life – fire, water, air and earth, all represented against the breath-taking stark boulders and dessert of Namibia where it was shot.
The Noirwave’s fan base came out in numbers to watch the four-part short film that make up the visual album. Among those in attendance were comedian brothers Loyiso and Lazola Gola, the multi-coloured haired DJ Doowop, BLK JKS’s Mpumelelo Mcata, Okmalumkoolkat, as well as other creative industry peers.
The visual album is a collaboration with Red Bull Music.
