In an investigation compiled exclusively by Eye Witness News it has been established that sporting goods supplier had allegedly paid R300 000.00 for a trip the minister took to Dubai with family in December of 2016. The payment is perceived in the very least a conflict of interest because Fikile Mbalula was minister of sports at the time of the trip, while the company in question was doing business with the South African Sports Confederation and Olympics Committee. Fikile Mbalula is expected to release a statement clearing these allegations even though he feels it???s a private matter.
The states representative has asked that witnesses not be crossed examined in court for the Life Esidimeni tragedy citing they need not be combated. More than 100 psychiatric patients died last year after government terminated its contract with the Life Esidimeni group and unlawfully moved the patients to other NGO???s.
The NPA will not pursue criminal charges against the mother that admitted to killing two of her daughter???s rapists.
